HOLE #1 - Taranis - Par 4

OVERVIEW: A straightaway par four of 391 yards with a very slight down grade (3ft grade) that plays directly into the prevailing wind. The right side of the fairway is guarded by mounding and fescue, while the entire length of the hole falls away on the left by ten feet. Four bunkers guard the green site.

"Hole number one shakes your composure
and defies you to start well."

DAVE'S TIP: Longer hitters need to keep their tee shot to the left side of the fairway as not to run through the fairway. On your approach, avoid going long as the collection area falls steeply away toward the hazard.

Pure Golf is rooted in the history and traditions of the game. It is wind swept and

has undulating fairways and greens protected by deep, sod-faced bunkers and

bordered by wispy fescue grasses. Pure golf plays dry and fast and all the trouble

is on the ground between the golfer and the hole. Pure golf requires courage,

skill and strategy.
